Service Dog Vest Sizing Instructions
The most important thing you can do to make sure you order the right vest is to measure your dog using these instructions. If you don't measure, you're taking a chance that you'll have to return it and reorder. Measure your dog once and you'll be done!
Use a soft fabric measuring tape. Measure all the way around the rib cage, full circle. Just like a saddle fits a horse. Your dog must be standing.
NOTE: If you have a really small dog, the Tiny vest can be altered to fit. Cut a strip out and sew it back together with a sewing machine. This will allow you to go down to a 9-inch girth.

No. There is no regulation that says your dog has to wear a certain color of service vest or cape. Blue and Red vests are our most popular. We encourage you to pick a few colors that best fits you and your service dog's style.
What is a Service Dog?
Service Animal Definition The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to perform tasks related to the owner's disability identified by the ADA. A service animal is not a pet. If your Service Dog is a well behaved, it cannot be excluded from a business. For all the information regarding Service Animals, visit the ADA website.
This definition does not affect or limit the broader definition of "assistance animal" under the Fair Housing Act or the broader definition of "service animal" under the Air Carrier Access Act. Some State and local laws also define service animal more broadly than the ADA does. Information about such laws can be obtained from the State attorney general's office, or by visiting the ADA website.
What is a Therapy Dog?
A Therapy animal gives its heart to making people feel better. A Therapy Dog gives smiles and hope to people in hospitals and long-term nursing care, children who need extra love, to shut-ins, and to anyone who needs the caring only a dog can give. Bless them every one.
