The most important thing you can do to make sure you order the right vest is to measure your dog using these instructions. If you don't measure, you're taking a chance that you'll have to return it and reorder. Measure your dog once and you'll be done!
Use a soft fabric measuring tape. Measure all the way around the rib cage, full circle. Just like a saddle fits a horse. Your dog must be standing.

NOTE: If you have a really small dog, the Tiny vest can be altered to fit. Cut a strip out and sew it back together with a sewing machine. This will allow you to go down to a 9 inch girth.

We know you want your Service Dog or Therapy Dog to look professional and neat when you go out. We are pleased to offer you these high quality vests. We know that you and your dog will be pleased. The vest is designed for long lasting wear and comfort for your dog. A reflective strip is on each vest for added nighttime safety. You won't find a better fit for your dog any where. The colors are beautiful and the vest is durable for long service. You can hand wash the vest and hang it to dry. Snaps and zipper pulls are for easy open and close. The vest is often referred to as a service dog cape.
Love the Colors! Are the colors significant to my selection?
The only significance is you and your dog's style! There is no regulation that says your dog has to wear a certain color of service vest or cape. Several customers select a few favorite colors to keep their good dog looking sharp!
What is a Service Dog?
Service Animal Definition The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. If your animal meets this definition, your animal is considered a service animal under the ADA regardless of whether the animal has been licensed or certified by a state or local government. A service animal is not a pet. If your Service Dog is well behaved, it cannot be excluded from a business. For all the information regarding Service Animals, visit the ADA website.

What is a Therapy Dog?
A Therapy animal gives its heart to making people feel better. A Therapy Dog gives smiles and hope to people in hospitals and long term nursing care, children who need extra love, to shut-ins, and to anyone who needs the caring only a dog can give. Bless them every one.

It is fraudulent to represent your dog as a service animal if it is not.

Here is some important information about service dogs:

Service Dog Definition: Only dogs are recognized as service animals under titles II and III of the ADA. Service Dogs are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA. This definition does not affect or limit the broader definition of "assistance animal" under the Fair Housing Act or the broader definition of "service animal" under the Air Carrier Access Act. Some state and local laws also define service animal more broadly than the ADA does. Information about such laws can be obtained from the State attorney general's office, or one can visit the ADA website for answers to some commonly asked questions.

  1. Well made quality product

Would be great if you could also add the ability to personalize with a name patch. And add a loop on top to clip my dog's credentials. Other than that it is very nicely made. Cody looks like a super star

Even thou we can take Jill into any store here in town we get funny looks without a vest. Now people look at her and just smile. The kids at the local school love it when she has on her vest while she is listening to them read to her.

  7. Quality service dog vests!

I ordered several of these for future dogs that I may train. The vest material is incredibly durable. Nice, quality product. The patches are well attached and the bold lettering is easy to read from a distance. The added storage is very useful. Quality product here.

  8. Nice Vests

The are high quality vests. Strong zippers. I would have hoped to see a lower price point since these are used by volunteers, some with more than one dog and $62 is a bit high. One of our vests had the patches sewn too close to the zipper and I hope it does not interfere with it when we begin using it.
Overall the vests are made of a nice material, vivid color, and they look like they will hold up.
    Quick shipping was appreciated.

  9. JJs New Vest

Posted by Unknown on 30th May 2013

I called your company to order a Therapy dog vest for my newly certified Therapy Dog JJ. The help I received was far better then expected. We were able to make sure the vest I ordered was a proper fit for my dog. JJ is a Greyhound and fitting is often difficult (long skinny neck and deep chest) I ordered the Ready to Wear Service Dog Vest. The fit is perfect and the sewing on the patches is wonderful. The vest arrived in under a week (and that's during a holiday week) via UPS. The vest looks just great on JJ. Thank you for a high-quality product at a reasonable price and the good customer service. I will recommend you to all my friends.
