Does your dog eat too fast? It's very common and can contribute to problems such as gastric dilatation-volvulus....also known as "bloat," or "twisted stomach". Slower eating reduces the risk of such health issues and also makes your animal feel more full. The brake-fast bowl is a simple and effective solution for this problem.
These heavy duty, durable plastic bowls feature three molded "posts" that discourage dogs from "snarfing down" their dinner. The medium has posts that are about 1 1/2 inch across at the base and just over 2 inches high. The small size has posts that are 1 inch across at the base and a little over 1 inch high.
These molded posts are smooth so they're gentle on the mouth and easy to clean. Aggressive eaters will find the bowl sliding away until they slow down. (Yes, it's supposed to slide!) The brake-fast bowl works well with both kibble and canned foods. Recommended sizes....small for dogs under 30 pounds....medium for dogs 30 pounds and up. | Works but cheap material |

I would recommend this to a friend
This bowl worked very well at slowing my border terrier's eating considerably, and in that way it is a good product. However, it is made out of flimsy plastic that gave way quickly under the jaws of the terrier. Indeed, soon after it's inaugural dinner, the bowl was cracked along the side. I would recommend this product to a friend with the caveat that they take it away from the dog as soon as the meal is through to prevent it from becoming an easily breakable toy.

My four terrors wolfed down their food and would often choke and occassionally throw up the food. With these bolws, they have to work to get the kibbles, and it definitely slows them down.

I'm so glad to see you guys carry these! Now I know where I can point people who ask me how to get their dogs to stop scarfing their food. :-)
We've had our big blue Brake-Fast bowl for nearly 3 years now and think it's wonderful! We used ours with our old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and then our young Rhodesian Ridgeback boy, each until they figured out how to slow down when eating. Now we pull it out whenever we have a visitor stay with us who can benefit from it (doggy sit). Our bowl has been used with 7 different dogs, puppies to teenagers, and barely shows any wear.

That says it all. I have shibas who really scarf their food and are resource guarders. So far my four month old doesn't need it, but he will probably need his own Brake Fast bowl soon.

I would recommend this to a friend
Works really great for my little 5 month old beagle puppy who wolfs down any piece of kibble put in front of him! Now he actually has to work to get to his food and takes his time getting every last piece! Also worked on my friend’s two huskies, slowed the fast eater down and actually got the picky eater to eat more! Great product!
