The Canine Styles “horse-blanket” dog coat is the ultimate cold weather protection. Made from water and snow-proof nylon with warm faux shearling lining. Fully adjustable straps that crisscross around the body (forming an ‘X’ underneath) and adjustable Velcro-and-buckle neck openings let you customize the fit for your dog. The leash can attach to a sewn-in D-ring, letting the coat work as a safe and comfortable harness. (Harness use recommended only for small or well-trained dogs.) Machine wash in cold water, hang to dry.
 | Getting the Right Coat Requires Three Measurements - Maximum Girth Adjustment: The most important measurement is your dog's maximum chest girth. Use a soft measuring tape or a piece of string that you can measure with a ruler later. Wrap the tape all the way around your dog at the widest point of the chest. Your dog should be standing square, not sitting or slouching . That measurement becomes the Maximum Girth size for your dog.
- Minimum Girth Adjustment: The coat won't adjust any smaller than this for the girth. If you dog's chest girth is much smaller than this you'll have to decide if that size is right for you. You don't want your dog "swimming" in the coat.
- Back Length: This is the length of the coat. Measure your dog from collar to base of tail to see how the coat will fit the length of your dog.
