Bargain price essential item. One of the few toys that has not been destroyed. Kong started to crack and needed to be replaced after 2 years of daily use. Buy 2 and keep one in the freezer with pumpkin, banana, or peanut butter in it.

Especially when we fill it with a peanut butter/yogurt mixture and freeze it! Just goes crazy and eats it all up!

If I could only keep one toy for Mimosa, this would be it. The Kong toys you fill with treats have kept Mimosa, our new puppy, happily entertained more than anything else. Also, if she is anxious or frightened with new people visiting, this calms her immediately. Mimosa is a big chewer and has destroyed a lot of things we have bought, but these Kongs seem very durable.

I definitely recommend that everyone get a treat-dispensing toy like a Kong and my Kongs have really held up well to constant chewing. I have two dogs over 70 pounds and the Large size is the best one for them. I also have mediums and an extra large, but the extra large is hard to stuff since the opening is so big. The Large is a good size for stuffing with enough goodies to last 30-40 minutes. My dogs are a Lab/Pit mix and a German Shepherd. Both have strong jaws but the regular red rubber is plenty strong for them. I typically smear the inside with peanut butter, then layer kibble and peanut butter for several layers and seal with a dab of peanut butter. Sometimes I freeze them if I plan ahead. I give each dog a Kong or a Busy Buddy Bone when we leave for work and it keeps them distracted while we leave. Happy dogs!
