There is an opening on the bottom of the toy so your dog can get at the hidden treasure inside. This is a toy that challenges and develops your dog's intelligence and puzzle solving skills. We think this toy should only be used when you are there to watch and help. A frustrated dog might chew on the toy and ruin it. You don't want that. You should be there to help your dog learn how to properly use the toy and replace the squeak eggs once they have been removed. Then it should be picked up when playtime is over. This toy is about 4" tall, 6 wide and 13 long. Each egg is a little bit bigger than a tennis ball. Made in China

| Endless fun! |

I would recommend this to a friend
My dog (a med. sized Lab-Pit mix) isn't terribly interested in toys, but this is one toy that she could play with for hours and never get bored with. It took about 5-10 minutes to explain to her that there are "eggs" in the belly of the platypus and that she can get them out, after she learned this... she was having so much fun with getting the eggs out and squeaking them! She will toss them in the air and go chase after them. It's hilarious! She's pretty rough on the platypus itself, but so far she hasn't destroyed it, just some of the threading for the nose has come loose, but I think it's easily fixed with a large sewing needle.
