This PolyBrite collar is designed to make your dog more visible in the dark. It does more than just reflect light, it generates it's own. A bright red light emanates from the collar. PolyBrite technology provides up to one mile visibility in low light conditions and at night. The three position switch can be set to off, flash, or be on continuously. It is lightweight, water resistant, shock resistant and capable of operating up to 250 hours (flashing mode) under the power of the replaceable watch battery (CR2032). On a small collar the lighted area is 5 1/2 inches, on a medium collar it is 9 inches, the large collar lighted area is 14 inches in length. Note: on long haired dogs, the hair can obstruct the collar and lights. | Definitely Makes Dog Visisble |

I would recommend this to a friend
I have a solid black lab that becomes invisible in our yard at night. We had a flashing collar tag, but that became obscured if she turned away from us. This collar is BRIGHT. I use the solid on position, as I find flashing lights in general annoying. I have no difficulty in finding her at when she is 200 feet away from me.
The collar is wider and heavier than her normal collar, but probably can't be avoided. I have not tried walking her on leash with this collar, so I don't know how strong the ring is for a strong dog.

We have a Golden and a Black Lab. These collars work great, we've had other collars which a light attaches to but these tend to fall off, bounce around on the dogs. These lighted collars work great, we can see the dogs easily in the dark now when they are in the yard. They also work well during our night time walks however I use another collar to attache the leash. My neice thought they were great too so we ordered her 3 for her small dogs for Christmas. She thought it would be nice if they came in different colors so she could tell which dog was which ;-)
