  • High protein, virtually no fat
  • Essential omega 3 fatty acids
  • Package normally contains 10-12 chews
  • Chews range from 8-9 inches long
  • There might be some scales in with the Fishskins. We aren't the least bit concerned about that. The dogs love these!

This unique dog chew is made solely out of dried Icelandic fish skins. Fishskins are a pure, natural product with no additives or preservatives and they're fat free! How great is that? About 77% of the dry material is protein and the rest is mostly fiber. Fish Skins are healthy for dogs and especially beneficial for a dog's teeth and coat. In addition to being loaded with protein, they're also rich in omega 3 fatty acids. The resealable 3.75 ounce package is sold by weight not by the number of pieces. Chews are typically 8-9 inches long. Easy to cut for smaller dogs or a quick treat.

We suggest that you supervise while your dog chews any chew treat.

Dog-rated: two paws up! :) Date: March 3, 2010
I would recommend this to a friend

I've been getting these for years for my girl. She LOVES them! She enjoys one every evening as an after dinner treat. Keeps her busy--takes a while for her to chew it up. And as each fish skin is quite long, we cut each one into several pieces, yielding a bag that lasts a long time. I don't give my dog junky treats or junky dogfood. I only want good stuff that nourishes her; nothing to harm her; no creepy ingredients. So happy to buy these treats from SitStay! Keep 'em coming! :o)

All 12 paws up! (from 3 dogs) Date: April 29, 2010

I've been buying these fish skin chews for many, many years now. And of all the treats I've ever given my girls, this is the one they dance over, salivate over, go nuts over... in short, they'd do anything for a fish skin chew! Even my crazy Malinois doesn't spontaneously inhale this treat, but takes the time to savor, enjoy and chew! Absolutely the best treats I've ever found!

Great product Date: June 1, 2010

Our dogs have been eating these fish chews for years. They really enjoy them as an after dinner treat and always ask for more! These chews take a while to finish which makes them even better. Also, both dogs have sensitive skin and have no problems from these. I highly recommend trying the Icelandic fish skin chews.

I've been giving my dogs fish skins for years. They LOVE these healthy treats. Only caveat... my dogs try to swallow them whole and sometimes choke. So, I think it's a good idea to watch as they eat them.

My dogs love them but Date: June 24, 2010
I ordered 2 pkgs and the ones I got didn't have anywhere near 20-25 pieces in them. I gave my 2 dogs each one a day and went through a package in less than a week. They ate them up in a couple minutes. Just didn't seem worth the price to me. If you like to fish and have a dehydrator I think you can make these yourself very easily and for free.

Great chew, but too few! Date: October 20, 2010
I would recommend this to a friend

Spot LOVES these chews and we keep re-ordering. The description, however, indicates 20-25 chews per bag and this is not the case. There are typically only 15 chews in a bag, which makes this a very expensive treat. Still, Spot loves them!

My dog get lots of different treats and he really loves these. He gets one each night at bedtime and really looks forward to it. They last him a few minutes. I know not all dogs like them because I've given samples to friends whose dogs didn't care for them. I know 1 cat who enjoys chewing them.

Nothing like this product Date: October 13, 2010
I would recommend this to a friend

I have a 13 yr old Siberian Female Husky. When these treats come out she becomes like a two year old puppy. The excitement that is generated by her happiness is priceless for me. In addition her coat is luxurious and her teeth are exceptionally clean. These skins are fat free and they help keep her in a healthy weight range. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to keep their best friend happy.

My dogs love these! I cut them up when I want them to have a smaller treat/chew or if I just want to make them last longer. No smell...no mess. It doesn't get much better than that.

Yummy - but SKIMPY Date: November 25, 2010
Spot loves these treats BUT there are nowhere near 20-25 treats per package, as advertised. It's more like 12 chews per packet, on average. Moreover, the price has gone up significantly. Sadly, we will no longer be ordering these yummy treats.

Expensive! Date: December 2, 2010

If not for the price, I'd buy these all the time. Pup loves them. My new theory is that the smellier and more disgusting a treat = the more she'll like it. She *loves* these, which tells you something. :)

Dogs' favorite treat Date: April 12, 2011
I would recommend this to a friend

Our two dogs adore these fish skins! These are their most favorite bed-time treat and the dogs are very disappointed when we run out. It's true that some packets have tiny pieces of fish skins, but some packets have huge double-sided skins so I figure it all evens out.

More! More! More! Date: May 12, 2011

We love these! Mom brought these home and we sniffed them right out! We will do absolutely anything for these fish skin chews. Now Mom has us wrapped around her paw instead of the usual other way around. These keep us content for about 15 minutes of happy gnawing. (We're both Boston Terriers.)
