Dogs dig. So what else is new? Burying a bone is as normal as barking or wagging a tail. Digging is a very normal and natural canine activity. Owners must realize that it is not so much the behavior that is abnormal or "wrong" but rather (from the owner's point of view) the dog's choice of sites that is inappropriate. This training booklet covers possible solutions and understanding of digging. Topics include:
- Understanding Digging
- Ignoring Appropriate Behavior
- Delayed Punishment
- Reward Appropriate Digging
- Reprimand Inappropriate Digging
- Boundaries
