This five and a half foot nylon lead stretches to nearly eleven feet. It uses a low-tension elastic core to perform this feat of magic. Kind of like hitching your dog to a bungee cord! The extra length allows your dog to explore the environment without dragging you along for a ride. That means a more pleasant walking experience for everyone!

The Roamer is built with many useful features: an adjustable mesh and foam loop handle with side release buckle for easy anchoring and a traffic handle positioned close to the E-Z snap hook (complete control is only a reach away).

5.5 foot length when resting, 10.5 foot overall length when fully extended, 1 inch tubular webbing, 8 inch traffic handle.

Good construction - design needs work Date: February 25, 2011
Well constructed product. The bungee is "active" most of the time exerting more pull on the collar than I expected. The comfort padded strap is excellent however, the feature of converting it to a waist strap compromises the safety of the wrist option. The wrist opening is too large and the clip is problematic in obtaining a good hold. I purchased this for my mother hoping it would be easier to manage with her arthritic hands. This proved not to be the case. It is of good quality and construction, the design is just not suited for inexperienced or frail handlers.

Excellent for joggers Date: January 10, 2012
I would recommend this to a friend

This is my "go to" leash when I take my dog with me on a jog! The waist portion is comfortable and easy to adjust. I attach the leash to a harness that hooks up on the dog's back. That way I do not encourage pulling behavior as I would if I hooked my dog up to her collar! The bungee cord leash extends so my dog has a feeling of freedom and exhilaration as we run together! So fun! People ask me about this leash all the time!
