This wonderful dog bed was designed to accommodate older dogs, or dogs with older dog issues, i.e. joint problems. It's very unique in the fact that it lays on the floor flat but it has a "ramp" on one side to accommodate the older dog. There are "railings" to help your dog from rolling off the bed and to support him as he lounges around the house. The upper "railing" is removable, if you feel it is necessary, by unzipping it from the bed. The beds come in many colors that are appealing to you or your dog; khaki for the conservative dog in your household, or red for that bright spunky personality. All colors but Denim are made of soft, machine washable, 100% anti-pill poly fleece. The Denim color is made from real denim.

The five individual support pillows are filled with long strand fiber filling that doesn't support the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew or fungi. With the many different support pillows, this bed will stay fluffy and comfy for your dog even after your dog has plopped down on it numerous times. Each of these support pillows are slobber resistant and can be taken out to be cleaned occasionally.

The bottom of the bed is made from "Slip-Not" anti-abrasion grip material to keep your dog from slipping and sliding. So no, you can't take your pet for a ride across the dining room floor, remember this product was designed for the older dogs. There is also a strap attached to the back of the bed to secure it.
